If you set this service to Manual, the service starts and stops itself when used with some software packages. This is practically the only service that does do this! If you still cannot burn a CD with it on Manual, switch to Automatic and feel safe that it starts only when needed. This service may take up about 1.6 MB of memory in an idle state.
